Agency Management System: Introduction

Most Agency Management functions, such as adding Sub-Producing Organizations, Licensed Producers or Processors, require a modernLINK Profile Administrator security profile. However, all users can view their individual Client Information modernLINK defines all businesses and individuals with which it conducts business in the Client Subsystem. An applicant, insured, Contract Holder, Sub-Producing Organization, Licensed Producer or Processor are all considered clients. Client information includes details such as business or home mailing addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. (see View/Manage Hierarchy).

Agency Management System

The Agency Management System defines the relationship between American Modern, its business partners and their organizations, including Contract Holders, Sub-producing Organizations, Licensed Producers, Licensed Employees and Processors. Using the system, Profile Administrators are able to manage and update their own agency Client Information modernLINK defines all businesses and individuals with which it conducts business in the Client Subsystem. An applicant, insured, Contract Holder, Sub-Producing Organization, Licensed Producer or Processor are all considered clients. Client information includes details such as business or home mailing addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. , as well as all details of their children A "child" is an organization or individual defined in the Agency Management System that is managed by a "parent" organization. For example, a Sub-Producing Organization is the child of a Contract Holder. A Processor could, in turn, be the child of a Sub-Producing Organization. . Using the Policy Management service of modernLINK, agencies can track policies and quotes generated by entities An entity is a business or person defined in the Agency Management System. Entities include Contract Holders, Sub-Producing Organizations, Licensed Producers and Processors. within their hierarchy A hierarchy is a business structure defined in the Agency Management System that consists of a Contract Holder and its "children," such as Processors (users), Sub-Producing Organizations, or Licensed Producers. .

The system offers a single, consolidated view of business partner organization structure and allows Profile Administrator to view and edit information such as:

• Licensing details

• Security profiles

• Product authority of their children

• Commission rates of their children

The Agency Management System provides a number of additional benefits:

• Automated delivery of username and password information via e-mail.

• Automated state appointments (where required) for those licensed entities with accepted credit and background checks.

• Automatic notification of appointment, so you will no longer need to mail a notification to the agent.

To access Agency Management:

1. Click the Agency Management tab on the modernLINK home page.

The Agency Management home (search) page opens.

2. Choose an option:

• Click View/Manage Hierarchy in the left hand menu to view the hierarchy in which you exist, update your Client Information or, if authorized, add a Sub-Producing Organization, Licensed Producer, or Processor to the hierarchy.

• Enter search criteria to search for a person or business in the Agency Management System.
