The term "hierarchy" refers to the relationship between four types of business organization and individual entities in the Agency Management System and American Modern.
If you are adding an entity to the hierarchy, ensure you add it to the correct parent. For example, if you are adding a Licensed Producer to your own agency, select the View Menu link to the right of your agency name in the hierarchy list.

The four entity types are:
Contract Holder |
This is the business partner organization or individual that has a direct contract with American Modern. Typically, this is a General or Independent Agency. American Modern associates create the Contract Holder organizations in the system. Contract Holder is the highest level in the hierarchy. A Contract Holder Profile Administrator can set up and manage their own Sub-Producing Organizations, Licensed Producers and Processors in the system. |
Sub-Producing Organization |
This is the business partner organization that is managed by a Contract Holder, usually a General Agent. The Sub-Producing Organization Profile Administrator can set up and manage their own Licensed Producers and Processors in the system. |
Licensed Producer |
This is a licensed agent that is part of a Contract Holder or Sub-Producing Organization. An LPDE (Licensed Producers Direct Employee) is a direct employee and an LPND (Licensed Producers Non Direct) is an affiliated producer that may have child LPs and Processors. |
Processor |
This is an individual, non-licensed user that is part of a Contract Holder, Sub-Producing Organization, or Licensed Producer. |
