modernLINK Policy Maintenance enables you to cancel and re-write a policy.
In addition to adhering to underwriting rules for any given product, these conditions apply to cancellation-rewrites:
A policy must not have a status of incomplete or cancelled. For a pending cancellation status, the cancel effective date must be prior to the effective date of the pending cancel. To cancel a cancelled policy, for example, to change the effective date, you must first reinstate the policy.
Only American Modern internal associates are able to execute a cancel / rewrite.
