Product Authorization: Defaults

 

Editing this information requires a Profile Administrator security profile.
Underwriting Authority is also set at the Processor level when adding new users to the AMS. A user's Underwriting Authority cannot exceed that of its parent.

 

The Product Authorization Defaults page provides a place for you to set the default new business effective date and, if authorized,  the default underwriting authority for the current Sub-Producing Organization or Licensed Producer.

To set new business defaults:

  1. Enter the default New Business Effective Date.

  1. For a Sub-Producing Organizations or Licensed Producers authorized for Property products, select the default underwriting authority. Property underwriting authorities include:

Processors having Full authority can override the Do Not Bind notifications generated

by modernLINK and submit quotes requiring a valid underwriting exception

Processors can submit clean quotes for issuance. Quotes requiring an valid underwriting exception can be submitted for approval.

Processors can submit clean quotes for issuance. Quotes requiring an underwriting exception can be submitted for approval.

Quote Only

Processors can only quote.

  1. Click Next.

The Product Authorization Summary page opens. For a Sub-Producing Organization setup, all Processors added to the organization inherit the selected underwriting authority for Property products.
