Select the type of construction from the list. Types include:
Frame. Exterior wall of wood or other combustible material, including stucco on wood, or plaster on combustible supports. It can also be covered with aluminum or vinyl siding over frame. A combination of both frame and masonry construction shall be classed and coded as frame when the exterior walls of frame construction (including gables) exceed 33% of the total exterior wall area; otherwise, class and code as masonry.
Brick Veneer. Exterior walls of combustible construction covered with brick or stone. A combination of both frame and brick veneer construction shall be classed and coded as frame when the exterior walls of frame construction (including gables) exceed 33% of the total exterior wall area; otherwise, class and code as brick veneer.
Brick/Masonry. Exterior walls constructed of masonry material such as brick, concrete, gypsum block, hollow concrete block, tile or similar materials. Floors and roofs are constructed of combustible materials. A combination of both frame and brick/masonry construction shall be classed and coded as frame when the exterior walls of frame construction (including gables) exceed 33% of the total exterior wall area; otherwise, class and code as brick/masonry.
Log. Exterior walls constructed of logs from various wood species, and may be constructed professionally or by the owner, from a manufactured kit. Floors and roofs are constructed of combustible materials.
Stucco or Asbestos. Exterior walls constructed of stucco and hard cement type sidings. Stucco over frame is rated as frame.
Other. Examples of other construction types may include earth homes, dome homes, open pier homes, stilt homes, row homes, town homes, condominiums, manufactured homes, modified manufactured homes or trailers which are not acceptable except for manufactured homes written in the Vacant Manufactured Home Program under the Dwelling Product.
