Retrieving a Quote

modernLINK® offers several convenient search functions that allow you to retrieve a previously entered quote. You retrieve a quote to review it, print it, update or submit it. Saved quotes that have not been processed as policies or declined are visible in the Rate, Quote and Submit system for six months.

You are able to retrieve only the quotes that you entered in modernLINK or that you are otherwise authorized to see based upon your security profile. You can update a retrieved quote as long as its status is not Pending Issuance or Processed.

When you retrieve a quote,  the system automatically rerates the quote to ensure that the latest rates are applied.

To retrieve a quote:

  1. On the page menu bar, click Retrieve.

The Search for Existing Quote page opens.

  1. Enter the search criteria. The more search criteria you enter, the more specific the search becomes.

Possible Search criteria are:

Field

Description

Last Name

The applicant's last name.

First Name

The applicant's first name.

Middle Initial

The applicant's middle initial.

Status

Status of the quote.

Quote ID

The system-assigned quote ID.

Policy Number

The policy number.

State

The state location of the property.

Location Zip

ZIP code where the property is located.

Agency

The agency through which the quote was made.

Sub-Producer

Name of the sub-producer through which the quote was made.

Between

The time span in which the quote was made. Specify a beginning and ending date in the format dd mm yyyy.

Product

The product line default is displayed here.

  1. Click Search.

The Search Results list opens (if you don't receive any results, expand your search by using fewer search criteria).

  1. Click links in the Last Name column to open, view and update quotes.

 

You can sort the Search Results list by clicking a column heading. Results are displayed with a maximum of 100 on a page. If the list contains more than 100, click Next Page on the bottom of the page to view the next series.
